Wiring Guidelines

Intelligent Actuators are wired directly to the SeaChange network.

Use of the correct cable for the network is essential.

Make sure you use an approved cable such as Belden 8205, or an exact equivalent.

Each Actuator is supplied with a 3 metre 2 core flying lead for network connections (cable type Belden 7701); these are polarity independent.

Make sure you include the flying leads in your network length calculations.

Note Belden 7701 has a smaller cross sectional area than Belden 8205 therefore the maximum network length is reduced - see our Design Guide for details.  Ener.G Controls will not warrant incorrectly installed systems.
